Desnudo Coffee POS System
Enhancing the customer experience.

Project Objectives
The objective of this project was to enhance the customer experience at coffee truck through creating a self-service POS system on an iPad for the service window. The POS system should offer customers an intuitive experience for customizing or substituting drink orders while reflecting the brand visually. It should also facilitate seamless check-out and include a tipping option.
Design Process
The objective was to design an interface that enables customers to place their orders effortlessly, ensuring a user-friendly experience. By visiting Desnudo, I conducted user research by documenting my customer experience, and observing two additional groups of clientele. I created a diagram to organize notes on their party size, wait time, order pick up, and dine-in preferences.
Considering the process of creating the POS system I compiled an information architecture diagram of Desnudos menu. This diagram was effective in referencing back to while creating the POS prototype on Figma.
Using Figma, I wireframed the POS system which would be used on an iPad. Referencing back to the information architecture diagram, I focused on creating buttons and directing navigation.
After completing the high-fidelity prototype, I created a user scenario storyboard. The purpose was to illustrate the customer experience and perspective for the business owners, highlighting each step of how a self-service POS will enhance the customer experience at Desnudo Coffee.
Context and Background
Desnudo is a coffee truck located at a food truck park in East Austin. Collaborating with small-production farmers in Columbia, they practice sustainability and eco-friendly coffee processes. Desnudo has established a great reputation amongst the Austin coffee community by paying effort into every detail of serving specialty coffee drinks.
Implementation
Utilizing Figma to develop the final prototype, I integrated all my diagrams and research to guide the creation of the product. With a clear objective in mind, I focused on designing an intuitive POS system to significantly enhance the customer experience.
Conclusion
Based on user research and detailed diagrams that deconstructed the menu and user experience, a self-service POS system was developed for Desnudo coffee truck to enhance the customer experience. With the organized information, this facilitated the achievement of the project's objectives.
